Rss feeding frenzy

Released 15/08/2008

You gotta be in it to win it

Hi all,

If you check our Dealer Support news page, you'll notice a little orange button with ‘Subscribe to our feed' next to it. This, as many of you may well know, is an RSS feed, which stands for Really Simple Syndicate. This means you can subscribe to our news feed and get notified every time we post breaking news, keeping you completely up to speed in the office supplies industry.

Wikipedia defines ‘RSS' as:

‘A family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed," "web feed,"or "channel") contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays. The benefit of RSS is the aggregation of content from multiple web sources in one place. RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader," or an "aggregator," which can be web-based or desktop-based. [Your browser will do this for you.]'

So whether you're totally web-savvy, or just dipping your toes in the water, you can be that much more web 2.0 if you give it a click.

You don't know ‘til you try it.

Xoxo

Julia
