Rumours abound

Updates from the DS editorial desk

You'd think that because I write for a living, I'd be able to keep up something as simple as a blog - but now that Twitter has come into the scene, I feel like all personal updates should be 140 characters. But here I am.

To be fair, it's been a busy month - we've been putting together not only the usual three mags - Dealer Support, USP and Olé - but an additional two: the quarterly Keep IT Real supplement, along with our biannual Green Guide. All are set to land on your desk in the next week or so - so keep an eye out.

We're now finally moving onto April's issue, where we have decided to retire the usually annual Back Office System review for a year (we feel it's better suited to a biannual format) in favour of an article on category management, which seems to be the buzz phrase du jour. If anyone feels particularly passionate on the subject, or has thoughts on the postponement of the Back Office review, do give me a shout on editor@dealersupport.co.uk.

In fact, I'm always looking for feedback for the mag. If you feel things should change or want to see something specific covered, we're all ears.

So tomorrow I'm off to the BlueSky conference and my editorial cohort Matthew Jane is off to the BP conference, both should provide for interesting content.

In the world of dealers, rumours have been running rife about certain larger firms merging. Am on the scoop, so watch this space.
