Just reminded me why the wholesaler needs the dealer? I think Vows business Plan is out the smaller dealer which cost money to maintain and use supplies team to run that part of the business can’t say I blame them. We are all scrapping for the same accounts if I was on board at Vow I would be suggesting a buyout of spicers making the supply shackle smaller increasing margin and having a tiered system of pricing wile outing the buying groups. I know the buying groups are good for the dealer but they cost a fortune to run how pays for them the wholesaler the dealer get rid of them let the wholesaler run their own businesses, dived some of the cash saved on buying groups and soft money and give it back to the dealers in a far pricing strategy. We all need to increase margin fact so do the wholesalers our industry is shrinking fact, there needs to be a reduction in the supply chain there are far too many dealers competing with each other. If we don’t stop it soon some of the dealers will not have a business’s left, there needs to be an overhaul of the industry weather the dealers like it or not it has to come from the wholesalers change is inevitable. The internet and the way consumers are buying product is going to play the biggest part in the change. The change is already here only a hand full of dealer are really selling product online i.e the Google way not the order taking online. Vow had the vision of this with smoothie which if it had worked the change would be well on it’s way and we would be further forward with the change.
