As a retailer how long will it before the new VOW start selling "Q" branded products into to the "Post Office" (after all they have the contract) and then into the big Supermarkets?

Isn't it a wholesaler's right (as well as with manufacturers) to sell their products to legimate channels of distribution? The issue is more one of how do dealers adapt to the multitude of choice end users now have to buy their stationery.

VOW's are so arrogant these days that they think the Supplies Team issue will just blow over too. I've heard from a reliable source that they are missing their profit numbers by an ever increasing amount each month...guess where they will look to fill the gap - by selling direct through Supplies Team at higher margins to our small and medium sized business customers. Let's not forget that Electra (the private equity firm behind them) looks at the Vasanta Group not at VOW and Supplies Team separately, they don't want to understand about channel conflict, they just want the return on their investment which the Board at Vasanta promised. They've already moved Kingfield Sheffield into the Supplies Team warehouse so I hear, what next?
