Alternative manufacturers at Paperworld

In an effort to help you source alternative manufacturers for your office product offering, the The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries

(CBI) is presenting 12 manufacturers from Egypt, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and The Philippines, ready to ‘tackle the EU marketplaces', that will be exhibiting at the CBI Pavilion, Hall 10.1, Stand C80, at Paperworld 2009 in Frankfurt, 31 January - 3 February.

They will be presenting products manufactured from materials such as polypropylene, rubber, leather and natural fibres left as wastage after crops have been harvested.

Other innovations that will be on display at Paperworld include:

  • handmade paper and products made from natural abaca;
  • biodegradable, ergonomic rubber desk and computer accessories;
  • ‘3D materials', both plastics - such as polypropylene and acrylic - and boards, suitable for notebook covers, organisers and other office products;
  • desk accessories made from leather, as well as snake skin, wood, pu and acrylic;
  • and a foldable desk mat that is said to use half the retail shelf space.

Opportunities in the field of private labels are said to be available for both large and small companies.
