Lyreco CEO Eric Bigeard is stepping down at the end of this year, according to media reports, as part of a planned decision.
Bigeard took over as CEO in 1988, transforming the company from a €15m player in the French market into the global €2bn company it is today.
"I am definitely still having a lot of fun running this company as I have done for the last 22 years, but have always been convinced that at some point in time, Lyreco deserves to benefit from a different pair of eyes on the business as well as new energy," commented Bigeard.
"This is an opportunity I have always wanted for Lyreco and which explains my decision."
The name of the next CEO of Lyreco is expected to be announced in early September.
Bigeard will remain a member of Lyreco's supervisory board.
