The Irish dealer group Tara and Nemo have agreed a partnership to collaborate on purchasing, marketing and other projects.
Tara and The Nemo Group have been in discussion for a number of months and have now entered into a partnership where they will cooperate closely in many areas.
Nemo and Tara are both wholly owned and run by their members, and are both focused on purchasing and marketing.
Additionally, both parties say they have recognised and identified common purchasing opportunities and operational synergies that will enable both groups to return substantial benefits to their members.
The Tara group was originally formed when a group of Irish dealers seceded from dealer group Integra in early 2009.
Commenting on the partnership Eoin Bedford, chairman of the board at Tara, said: "Nemo is one of the most trusted groups in the industry and Tara is one of the biggest and most respected dealer groups in Ireland. Both groups have made good progress in 2009 despite a difficult economic climate and I am much looking forward to working with both groups moving forward."
Derek Bamford, Nemo Group CEO, commented: "We are delighted to announce the partnership between ourselves and Tara, and both our organisations are excited at the opportunities and benefits that this association will bring to our member dealers. We look forward to working closely with the Tara Dealer Group, and I am confident that our shared values as dealer-owned and driven groups will provide a strong foundation for the success of this alliance."
The combined member revenue of the Nemo Group and its partners Tara, Graphic Dealers Limited and Network Buying Group now exceeds £285m.
