Britsales comes under London reseller’s wing

Universal Office Equipment, a subsidiary of UOE Holdings has announced today it has acquired 100% of the shares of Britsales for an undisclosed cash sum.

Britsales, a £1.5m print and office supplies business based in Sevenoaks, is a well-established dealer servicing the Kent region, having traded since 1981.

Elliot Jacobs, commercial director at UOE, commented: "We are delighted to welcome the Britsales team to the UOE family and see it as a perfect opportunity to profitably grow the Britsales business further on the back of our low-operating cost/high service model."

UOE expects to be able to reduce operational cost by as much as 50% at Britsales over the coming 12 months, hoping to deliver a six figure improvement to the bottom line, with much of these savings set to be achieved within the first 120 days.

Jacobs said UOE was open to the potential of further acquisitions in the future.
