Dealer services provider, Nectere, has launched a printer cartridge recycling scheme for dealer customers.
With so much waste being sent to landfill, Nectere saw an opportunity to help reduce the amount of cartridges being thrown away, whilst helping end-users and partners adopt a greener approach.
End-users can send back cartridges via a freepost envelope or by requesting a free collection through the Nectere partner's website.
Partners can also collect cartridges from their customers and send them back centrally. Nectere says this will give partners the chance to view the cartridges their customers are using and may not be purchasing from them.
At the end of every month, the partner will receive a payment based on the cartridges returned. This can then be sent to a charity of their choice or retained.
Nectere marketing manager Dawn Kirby said: "Every year over 500 million ink and toner cartridges are sent to landfill around the world. Our new recycling scheme will help to reduce landfill waste, along with generating an income stream for either charity or our partners. So far all of our partners have pledged to help national and local charities.
I'm really excited to have added this service to our package, with no additional costs for our partners. We're already looking at additional services to further enhance our offering."
