Sella, the furniture and seating manufacturer, which has been owned by Desk-Link for the last year, has been sold as a going concern.
Recently trading under the name Bury and Dundee, the Sella arm will become an independent company once again and trade under its original name.
Frank Duffy, sales director of Desk Link said: “The Sella brand has a great history in our industry and was always a stable and profitable company. After working closely with the team in both sites over the past 12 months it was clear that it had a great future once again. The backbone of the company has been its committed staff and loyal customer base.”
It seems there is good news for those working in the industry. Duffy continued: “The sale has secured continued manufacturing and jobs on both sites. Production is already back up and running to service our valued customers.”
The company announced that the sale completed last week and has benefited from a large cash injection.
“This investment will continue allowing the company to develop its team, expand the ranges and update its plant and machinery,” explained Duffy.
Sella has been trading for over 20 years in the desking, storage and seating markets.
