Lincolnshire dealer warns about the impact of fire and flood

Following a number of major fires at schools and businesses in Lincolnshire, Steve Bilton from TBSL, a company supplying document management systems has spoken out and to advise dealers to expect the unexpected and prepare.

"Despite regular news reports about major factory fires or flash floods most business owners think it will never happen to them and don't take the necessary steps to ensure business continuity," says Bilton.

 

The increased awareness has been caused by factory blaze in Skellingthorpe near Lincoln.

 

"An unexpected incident such as a fire or a flood can wreak havoc on any organisation and make it difficult if not impossible to continue with day to day activities," explains Steve, "It is essential for businesses to plan thoroughly to protect their livelihood and that of their employees and identify potential crises that might affect them and determine how they intend to minimise the risks of these disasters occurring."

 

Companies need to be aware of the devastation the loss of financial information such as accounts, tax details or employee information such as payroll can have on a company. To replace it can be almost impossible.
