One of the longest standing companies in office supplies, Helix, enters administration, with an announcement on the future the company expected imminently

Helix, one of the oldest names in office supplies, has entered into administration.

An announcement on the future of the company is expected to be made next week.

MD of Helix Mike Pell has stated that the move has nothing to do with the companies trading performance over the past 12 months.

The company has seen an increase of six per cent in sales and an increase of 18% of export sales over the past year, it has been reported.

The manufacturer has annual sales of around £12m per year, split half and half between its domestic and export markets.

Helix is one of the longest standing companies in the office supplies business and has been owned by the Lawson family since it was founded as The Universal Woodworking Company in 1887.
