Spicers and Xerox in MPS deal
The Spicers-Office Team Group (SPOT) has signed a long-term partnership agreement with Xerox to become an authorised Document Technology Partner. SPOT will now be a reseller of Xerox’s channel-managed print service offering for the SMB market.
Spicers is already a Xerox supplies partner in the UK and will continue to focus on developing and growing its business, but now with the additional benefit of providing its dealer partners with the ability to sell Managed Print Services (MPS).
“Over the last few years we have seen a sharp rise in demand for managed print services,” said Jeff Whiteway, CEO, SPOT Group. “We chose Xerox as the recognised leader in managed print services and are delighted to become a Xerox Authorised Document Technology Partner. This new agreement runs alongside the existing partnership arrangement, which we plan to further expand during 2016.
This new relationship, backed by a specialist team of dedicated MPS sales executives, will enable dealers to maximise the undoubtedly large and exciting potential of the MPS market. Supported by Spicers’ dedicated sales resource and backed by the leading OEM will enable a proactive attack on this market”.
The Xerox brand will create a platform where Spicers’ dealers can leverage additional opportunities, fully supported by Xerox trained Spicers’ sales specialists.

SPOT has aggressive MPS growth plans to benefit dealers and is currently recruiting additional sales specialists to complement industry experts already recruited into the new managed print services division.
Full marketing support and road shows will be available to Spicers’ supporting dealers early in 2016 to further explain the opportunity and the route to market.
